Currently BSNL is shipping evdo on test runs with device ZTE AC8700
This is the one
Attached File  post_26277_1190966180_thumb.jpg   4.52KB   192 downloads

There is an option to plug in RUIM card in the back, but bsnl has programmed the connection data into phone itself, so you donot require an RUIM.

You can program the device with ZTE PST 2.1.1. Program --> read/write prls, update other cdma configurations.
You can download the the ZTE PST (including some prls i got from the internet) in this link.

(Warning: I donot hold any liability for damage of your phone/or any other physical or any loss by using this software. Use it at your own risk.)

If you have any questions please feel free to reply to this thread. Will try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Were you able to download the file ?

Rather than copying the password, try typing it, bcz sometimes you maybe copying the last space character/invisible characters.

But one doubt, since there isnt any more evdo networks other than bsnl in kerala, isnt the attempt to mod the evdo card a bit a crash course towards jeopardy??

Also i am bit afraid in tweaking the evdo card in chip level because of one fact that if anythng is going to be wrong BSNL wont be able to get it back in original condition within atleast 2 weeks. That means we will be stuck without the card for about 1 to infinite number of months.. or am i wrong??

Reliance has a an evdo ready network but i doubt they are using it. As far as i read in some articles online, their towers are already ready for EVDO. Btw, you can still use cdma1x internet of other providers. Afterall this is a software for service stuff, not much of fun is expected from it...
